For example, “I wanted to come but I couldn’t“.There are 15 sentences and they have to fill in the missing words. It uses advanced British English but could be simplified by changing the vocabulary and tenses. The answers are at the bottom so you can cut them off before giving out the sheet, or you can make it easier again by jumbling the answers up and having the students match them to the sentences.
